RL sucks; fan-fics updated --November 3rd, 2000

Due to some time consuming things now taking place in my RL, updates have been and will be few and far in between, unfortunately. I have finally gotten the fan-fics updated, but fan arts will have to wait until next update (hopefully by tomorrow). 

More BO Mp3s and 1 fan-fic --October 6th, 2000

I have posted some audio from the Blood Omen FMVs in the form of Mp3s.  I also have one new fan-fic.  Because it spans the time of all the categories, it is posted in the "Misc" section. 

I hope to be updating the SR II section soon. 

Back from temporary absence --September 24th, 2000

I just recently finished moving which is why I haven't been able to update this site lately, and it still may take me awhile to get back up to speed. Until then, you can start sending me fan submissions again. (And apologies to the few who sent me a fan-fiction while I was away -- I'll get to your submissions soon.) The only thing I'm able to add this update is a new Soul Reaver Win Amp skin... 

Re-reorganized fan-art section --August 24th, 2000

Just as with the fan-fiction section, I was getting so many fan-arts that I needed to change things around a little.  So I just made the thumbnails smaller in favor of splitting the pages up.

As requested, I have added some more Mp3s: the dialogue with the Tomb Guardian (3 requests), the first cinematic after the intro FMA (1 request) and the English Soul Reaver intro (4 requests).  I also found the French SR intro that I thought I'd post as well... 

Nosgothic Realm Photo Gallery --August 18th, 2000

Arafel and Fire Ceremony, Lieutenants (moderators) at the Nosgothic Ream forum, welcome all forum and LoK community 'members' to share and view their photos.  The catch is that in order to see other's photos you have to send one in of yourself.  (The pic has to be a scanned real-life photograph of yourself -- no illustrations or caricatures.)  For more information, contact either Arafel or Fire Ceremony.  Any questions sent to me about it will be forwarded to one of them -- I have no hand in the creation of this gallery for I will not be participating...  This will be the topic for next week's #Nosgoth IRC chat, to be held on Friday, August 25th.

Now for the local news...  There are two new fan-arts.  A fan-wallpaper has been submitted, which can be found in the "Nosgothic Gallery".  There are also some new (old, rather) concept images in the Blood Omen image gallery.

I've been busy the past week and haven't been able to update for a while.  I'm just adding the fan-fics now -- a few fan-arts and more gallery pics will be added next update... 

Newsletter null --August 8th, 2000

Just added two fan-fics, changed the link pages, added some links, and fixed a few things; nothing big.  The fan-fics are pretty good though... 

Also, I realize that there is a problem with the newsletter.  It seems everyone that I have talked to on the list never recieved theirs.  So the newsletter is going to be put on hold until I can fix it -- if you already signed up you'll still be on the list.  If you sign up now then you should be put on the list for when it is fixed, whenever that will be. 

Categorized fan-fics and more Mp3s --August 3rd, 2000

Seeing how there were a collection of over 30 fan-fics, I realized it was time to break them up into categories for convienence.  There are now 5 categories, most grouping the stories by time-line: Blood Omen era, Post-Blood Omen/pre-Soul Reaver era, Soul Reaver era, Crossovers, and Miscellaneous. 

The two newest fan-fictions are Chapter 3 of Elysion's "Razielim Chronicles" (pre-SR era) and Unknown Number's "Flashbacks" (SR era). 

Thanks to Sayel I've gotten the final two Mp3s of Blood Omen -- the music from Avernus' Cahtedral and Elzevir's theme.  I've also added three more Soul Reaver dialogue Mp3s, including the conversation(s) Raziel had with Dumah and Kain.  There's a new Winamp skin as well.  And I finally got that link to the Ozar Midrashim 30 sec preview fixed. 

Nosgothic Realm forum members:  If you frequent the NR forums, then you should check the FAQ page.  There has been an amendment added that will help you to keep from causing or fueling flamewars (and tells you what happens if YOU try to start one). 

Added Dialogue Mp3s --July 29th, 2000

I've just added some sound files of the "boss" conversaions from Soul Reaver that I pieced together.  So far I've got the conversations Raziel had with Melchiah, Zephon, and Rahab.  The rest are soon to come. 

There are also 3 new fan-fictions -- Chapter 5 of Arafel's "Broken Wings", and two more fics written from the viewpoint of the lieutenants; One from Dumah's and another one from Turel's.  Check them out. 

New BO section is opened --July 26th, 2000

The new Blood Omen section is finally open, people.  More than just a new design I now have links, images and the map of Nosgoth, taken directly from the game. Special thanks goes to Tenaya for scanning the images that were used in the new design. She was also the one to write the "Overview of Story", "Historic Figures", and the "Circle of Nine" sections -- written nearly a year ago, but far from outdated.  Thanks Ten.  ;) 

Chapter 3 of Kreliana's story, Untold History, has just been added.  Another story was written by the Rahabim, "Home and Body".  This time, it's from the view point of Zephon. (One lieutenant to go...)  There are also two new fan arts, both by Asti. Check 'em out. 

More Skins --July 23rd, 2000

I just added 5 more Winamp skins and divided the skin download pages to 5 skins per page to keep down the loading times. 

There is also another new fan-fiction. 

Late update --July 20th, 2000

This update, I have added something new -- LoK Win Amp skins. Look for them in the Mp3 section. Five out of six of the skins collected here was found at WinAmp's site in their skin collection. The other one was submitted. So, if you have created an LoK Win Amp skin, or even a skin for any other skinnable program, you are welcomed to submit it here. Information on learning how to make a skin for Win Amp can be found in the developer's section of the WinAmp home page. 

Other updates: One wallpaper that I had made a while ago was added -- it's of the Razielim clan symbol. All the other clans had a wallpaper of their symbol, except for Raziel's. It's not that great, but I've gotten good comments on it. In the Nosgothic wallpaper section. I've also gotten permission to post two more actor photos -- these can be found on the credits page for Soul Reaver. (Just two more to go...) 

Lastly, I have now set-up a newsletter/mailing list for this site. I'll try to send out updates at least once a week, depending if anything is happening. In the small event that anything big happens, I'll notify through this as well. To join the list, just send a blank e-mail to NosgothicNews-request@nosgoth.net with the word 'subscribe' as the subject line. 

Also, I'm a few days behind on fan-fictions right now. If you just recently submitted a story, then I apoligize for the delay -- they should be up soon... 

Returned from Vacation --July 5th, 2000

I'm back from vacation. This means that different sections of the site will slowly be updated and that you can start sending in your fan-art and fan-fictions to me.

If you haven't picked up the August issue of EGM then you should -- it has information on the upcoming LoK games. Unofficially announced is "Legacy of Kain: Blood Omen" (the tile just switched around from the first LoK game, "Blood Omen: Legacy of Kain") which will take place roughly 200 years after the end of Blood Omen 1 in a town called Meridian. The game will require some stealth, like Metal Gear Solid and Tenchu.

Extended Vacation --June 9th, 2000

On June 13th I will be leaving for two weeks on vacation.  Obviously, there will be no updates or additions to this site until my return.  If you have any fan-fictions, you may go ahead and send them to Arafel.  Please specify whether or not you want her to proof them.  That way, they will most likely be proofed by the time I get back.  If you have any artwork you wish to submit, however, please hold those until my return.  Thank you.

And to those who in the past had sent me a fan art or fan fiction and did not recieve proper notification upon it's submission or posting, I apoligize.  Perhaps after this vacation, I will be able to better concentrate...

Finally Made It... --May 31, 2000

Just one year after making this site (formerly known as the Soul Reaver REALM) I have finally made it to the "big time".  Well, I've now got decent web hosting, with plenty of space for expansion, and a domain name -- that's a big deal to me.  Of coure I could not have done it without the help of NR forum members and trusted Lieutenants Fire Ceremony and Arafel, for they are the ones sponsering.  Many thanks to them for making this possible.

I have a treat for Blood Omen fans -- Mp3s of music from Blood Omen: LoK is now avaiable for download!  There's a few 'tracks' that we don't have yet, like the music from Avernus or the Dollmaker's, but most of them are here, including the music from the bat flight sequences.  Another interesting addition are some German sound files -- both endings of Blood Omen and the opening intro of Soul Reaver in German.  All of these are credited to Sayel and Kenji.

The fan fiction and fan art sections have been updated too.  There is still much to be updated and added to, like a redesign of the Blood Omen section, and the past-due SR dialogues to name a few.  Also soon to come, nosgothic e-mail addresses.  More on that later...

Nosgotic Realm will be moving   --May 20, 2000
Soon, this site will be moving to a new location complete with decent hosting and a domain name.  The date of the move, the new location, etc is to be announced.

Returning With a New Look   --May 10, 2000
I have finally returned.  It took me longer than was expected -- I went a week longer without the Internet than was planned.  (Which was sheer "Hell"...)  However, for the past week I still had my computer, so I sat down and redesigned the site.  The intent of new design is to offer easier navigation, sans the frames.  There's still more updating to go, so you may run into some broken links for a few days...

Early information on SR2 is starting to creep out of the shadows...  Check out the SR2 section for more info.

Unwanted Vacation  -- April 23, 2000
Starting April 24th, I will be unable to update this site for an uncertian amount of time.  The site isn't closing, it just has to be put on hold for a while.  Please hold all fan-art sumbissions until my return (due to their file size).  Fan-fics can be sent in, though they may not be added until at least a week.

#Nosgoth IRC chat room now open  -- April 19, 2000
After debating whether we should go with ICQ or IRC for chat, IRC won over the majority.  For more information, go to the #Nosgoth Chat info page.  There is also a Help page set up that explains how to install and configure mIRC, and tells all the basic IRC commands.  The next chat time is set for Friday, April 21st 6:00pm --?? (Central time).
