He dove into the water, now able to swim. His black hair flowed gently in the water, which had never been so soothing, rather a burning acid that disintegrated vampire flesh on contact. Raziel had only barely experienced that pain before, as a true vampire, before his execution at the hands of his brethren, Dumah and Turel, and at the order of his master...and father, Kain. He had tripped and fell, his hand landed in a puddle of water from an earlier rain. This caused a horrible agony, and before Raziel leaped in, even after taking Rahab's soul, he was reluctant. He knew not why, but he seemed to have eternal amounts of oxygen, never needing even a breath. Perhaps part of Rahab's adaptation to the underwater environment. In any case, it was beneficial. As Raziel approached a gate, he stopped swimming and shifted planes, the environment becoming a bit more grim than it had already been. He took a few steps towards the gate, then pressed against it, his hands seeming to dematerialize as a green light surrounds the palms, then his wrists as they pass through the gate. He moves his arms out to the sides and seemed to hover through the gate, then he landed on the ground, a portal just beneath him. He stepped forward, to the center of the portal, and resumed his place on the material plane, as the air around him increased density and became water all around him. This is a feeling he was not yet used to, and he shuddered a bit. He swam further down the path, eventually, a large underwater room came into view. He hopped onto a ledge, and looked around. As he gazed higher up, he noticed a Turelim up on a ledge, standing next to a small fire. He hopped up onto a nearby ledge, and fired a telepathy wave at the vampire. He was struck, and flew back, smacking the wall behind him. Raziel hurried to the edge of a copper-looking tower, then over to another ledge across the way from where he had been standing. This led him to the next closest ledge where the Turelim stood, about to regain consciousness. As the Turelim began shaking his head, Raziel swiped him with the Soul Reaver two or three times, rendering him once again unconscious. Raziel took this advantage to wave the Soul Reaver over the fire, bathing it in the flames to create the Fire Reaver. Raziel once again approached the vampire, and held back his Reaver as it charged, then too a devastating blow at him, lighting him ablaze. The Turelim waved his arms and screamed in agony as his flesh burnt. He fell, and Raziel left his soul to venture into the Spectral realm, not needing any energy of the soul at the moment. Raziel ventured onward, doing various puzzles to gain the powerful Sunlight Glyph. Raziel, only having a moment to feel proud of himself, suddenly felt another prescence in the shrine of the Sunlight Glyph, where he had only a moment ago attained it. Suddenly, he heard something charging up, much like the telepathy blast he had attained from the first Turelim, but this time it was deeper and longer. The power of it was so immense he could feel it as it charged, the room's pressure seeming to increase. Then, the back wall exploded outwards at Raziel, the bricks and stone used to makes the sun design flying around him. And although Raziel had not, himself, been hit by any of the debris, the shear force caused him to fly backwards. A deep, menacing voice came
from where the wall had once been, in that dark, cave-like place. "Raziel...my
brother. How long it's been since I've laid eyes on you. It's nice to see
you still alive...or close to it, as it were. When I watched you plummet
into the abyss, I could have sworn a tear dropped from my cheek into the
swirling waters below," the voice was somewhat sincere, and ever familiar.
The crimson eyes behind the darkness watched Raziel closely, as he soon
realized who spoke.
"Must you hold such grudges,
Raziel? I was only following orders of our master, our creator, our
father. Why must I be punished for sins I was only ordered to do?" Turel
seemed to be almost negotiating.
"Damn you Raziel! Why must you hold such grudges?! You've now killed four of my brothers, and your own. No matter how you look at it, Kain is your father. Raziel, you've brought me such rage, such agony in only being here. But now I have a reason to kill you. I will take vengence for my brothers. Be prepared, brother!!" Turel steps from the shadows, he has apparently inherited the wings Raziel was supposed to receive. He stands, towering over Raziel, looking down on him with sinister eyes. His fangs have grown so long, he has two points in his chin, simply to hold them. On his forehead lie two long, black horns, which twist and turn upwards, then downwards. Turel sneers, drawing a magnificent sword, encrested with jewels on the handle and his clan emblem up the blade. He grits his teeth, and leaps forth, towards Raziel with a loud war cry. "RRRRRREEEEEEEEEEEAAAAAAAAAAAAGGGGGHHHHH!!"
