“There they are!” a Sarafan Warrior shouted. Kain looked at the Soul Reaver and said “lets see if you still work?” then Kain rushed the Sarafan with a sword and left Raziel to deal with the Sarafan with a pike. Kain unleashed an incapacitate spell and thrust the Soul Reaver into the Sarafans chest his chest exploded and his blood drained into the Reaver and Kain who shouted a triumphant “YES!” Raziel still weak from the Reaver had some trouble with the pike-man but once he stole his weapon Raziel made quick work of him by tearing his head off. The discorporate soul lifted from his body and Raziel Devoured it. “So Kain what are you so happy about” “The Soul Reaver is mine again and better than before know it drains there blood and blows them up… thank you Raziel” said Kain jokingly. “So how do we fix history Kain”, “With your help, to the pillars Raziel”. 

           “So this is how they looked, before they were corrupted,” said Kain. “Starting to regret damning Nosgoth Kain”, “not in the least Raziel”. “How do we fix this?” “Like I said with you more specifically your ability to devour souls, you have no idea how long I’ve been planning this.” Raziel bitterly “was my maiming, execution, and the genocide of my clan all part of your plan Kain,” “Yes Raziel” “KAIN!” shouted Raziel while he leaped at Kain preparing to strike him down with the Soul Reaver but Kain dodged his attack, and constricted Raziel with bands of energy. “Listen Raziel if my plan works you will be restored wings and all as well as your clan returned and to you as well. Now listen to me child.” “ There was no way you could have know I would have come back when I died you were only beginning to fathom the machine Moebius built”, “as I said before I had faith, faith in your ability to hate, to hate me. Hate is very powerful it brought me back to the world as a vampire I knew it would bring you back as something more than a vampire as I was brought back as something more than human.” Raziel is left speechless and Kain Continues “Hash’ak’gik,” “Who?” interrupted Raziel. “Hash’ak’gik, the Dark Entity who tried to destroy the ancient vampires more specifically the fist Circle of Nine, in revenge for imprisoning his master long story short. The Reaver was forged to fight Hash’ak’gik the vampires won but the Dark Entity’s master cursed them with the blood thirst.” Raziel interrupted “but if Hash’ak was destroyed how did he posses Mortanius.” Kain angered by Raziels interruptions “If you would let me continue child, In Avernus Cathedral I found a book that described Hash’ak ordering his followers to sacrifice there first born children so he could survive, by the time he regained enough strength to poses someone again. Only Janos was left alive and the Pillars had culled human successors. Hash was still determined to bring down the circle and free his master the Elder God,” “I thought as much” said Raziel. “Do you ever shut UP RAZIEL!” said Kain angrily. “Anyway” said Kain suppressing his growing rage “The Elder God realized he could still be kept in bondage as long as vampires still walked the earth that is why he cursed them with the blood thirst he thought he stopped the vampires from reproducing, but as we know that didn’t work. So the Elder God got the humans against the vampires, and Hash’ak’gik possessed Mortanius to bring down the Circle.” Kain released Raziel from the energy bonds and Raziel said, “Follow me Kain I have something to show you.” Raziel pointed up to the ledge meet me up there” “Hold on Raziel I don’t want to wait for you. Take some of my soul it will allow you to shift between realm with out a portal.” With those words Kain exhales a small silvery light and falls to one knee “take it Raziel”. Raziel lowers his cowl and breathed in that part of Kains soul, a rush of energy filled Raziel and his former strength was restored to him. “Kain what happened to you?” “I will be fine just a little weak I need to feed”. “Soon Kain you will be, up to the ledge for now”, with that Raziel shifted from the material world to the spectral realm the world around him shifted and grew dark and lifeless Raziel walked up the path that appeared Raziel looking at the Soul Reaver writhing on his arm said “now we see if Kains soul gave us the power” Raziel concentrated focused his energy, he felt the energy of the portal’s ethereal flame encompassing him and he willed himself to the material world, and there was Kain leaning against a tree for support. “You have been seriously weakened Kain, it would be a shame if something were to happen to you… I wonder what the rest of your soul would do to me.” “Stay your hand Raziel you need me”; “more like you need me Kain”. “Vampires over there get them,” shouted a Sarafan. Kain stagers to his feat “looks like I get to feed after all” Kain let fly a Blood Gout spell and two flays. As the blood flew into Kains gullet and he felt his strength returning an energy ball blasted Kain sending him flying, while the flays shredded another Sarafan. Raziel had his own Sarafan to deal with. He ducked a sword swipe and stuck the Sarafan in the stomach with his claw as the Sarafan stood there dieing Raziel lifted him up and threw him to Kain, and Kain took his blood and his life. Raziel took the sword and sliced through another Sarafans pike and with a mighty thrust and lift Raziel impaled and cut in half the Sarafan his blood spilling everywhere. All that was left was the sorceress who was convulsing with the fear of death, Kain was quickly upon her. “I will enjoy this you Sarafan dog”, then Kain tore open her throat she screamed with pain and Kain drunk deep in her blood. Raziel also fed but on the souls of the Sarafan. “Now Kain follow me” Raziel led Kain to a supposed dead-end. “Put the Soul Reaver in that hole Kain and be prepared to fight”. Kain did as he was told. Energy like that of the Reaver began to swell around the blade and extend through the door and it began to slide open. “Incredible” said an awed Kain, “be ready Kain, though these creatures within should not be new to you.
 

           A glowing green light shot passed their heads and then they saw where it came from. “Shades” said Kain “I fought them in Avernus”, “now you fight them here”. A fierce battle between them and the Shades ensued Kain and Raziel survived and were only slightly wounded. “I always hated those creatures no blood to drink, life without blood what a travesty.” “They don’t have souls either, life without souls that’s a travesty Kain. My first time down here I was sent to the spirit world so fast they exist simultaneously there too.” They soon reached the center “the Pillars they reach down here how far do they go” said Kain “Far” said Raziel. “Raziel you have betrayed me!” shouted a loud voice. “Who was that”, “that was the Elder God”, “where is he I will tear him apart!” Raziel looks and points down. Kain looks over the ledge. “Ha, what the Elder is a giant squid, the bane of the vampires is a giant squid!” “I am much more than that Kain” “that’s right you’re the reason for my suffering you’re the reason I’m not the balance guardian! You Die now” Kain leaps of the platform but Raziel catches him in time to stop the water from scorching his flesh. “Let me go he must die Raziel” “Calm down Kain clam down man, take us to Voradors mansion Kain.” Kain regaining control “Very well” Kain grasps Raziels hand and they vanish. The Elder God very nervous “this is bad very bad”.

           Deep in the Termagent lays Voradors mansion. A haven for vampires and death for all Humans “Open up we need help” shouted Raziel. A door slowly opens, an ancient vampiress answers and is in shock at seeing Kain and especially Raziel. “What are you?” she said with wonder “not human that should be enough child,” said Kain “of course come in”. “I wish to speak to Vorador immediately” said Kain. “He can not be disturbed” Kain raised the Soul Reaver. “Oh! Yes I will tell Vorador you wish to speak to him”. “Why to you want to see Vorador Kain”, “it has to do with my past future and could help us”. They are taken through the house. “Not nearly as impressive as I remember it” said Kain. As they approach the feeding area the smell of blood filled the air. Kain stopped dead in his tracks “I’ll catch up to you I’m hungry”, “there will be blood served when you meet Vorador you mustn’t keep him waiting”. “Of course” They entered Voradors chambers he was standing there in front of the fire, leaning against the mantel looking into the fire. “Leave us Talya,” bellowed Vorador. The vampiress bowed and backed away slowly. “Is it true do you have the Soul Reaver”, “yes it is Vorador I also have something to discuss with you”. “What is it ancient, I was unaware any vampires older than me other than Janos Audron existed.” “You were right I am from the future I need your help”, “the future how”. “Moebius we used his time machine we need to know when Hash’ak’gik was Destroyed by the Reaver” “How Dare you mention those Foul Demons Names in My house!” screamed Vorador. “But Hash’ak’gik is one demon” Raziel interrupted. “I was referring to the unspoken and the Oracle, you deformed wretch. The Unspoken was destroyed was destroyed roughly five thousand years ago.” “Thank you Vorador I have on small request it involves a fledgling vampire named Kain in five hundred years he will come to you for aid, help him the best you can the future of our race depends on it.” “Very well I will do as you ask but I want to hold the Reaver even for a few minutes please,” “very well.” Kain hands the Soul Reaver to Vorador and he holds it with the reverence of a vampiric holy relic he holds it for a few moments and a single tear rolls down the side of his face, then gives it back to Kain. “Thank you for letting me hold the Reaver.”  Vorador gave them blood to drink and Raziel drank the souls the dead humans the vampires fed on once they were filled they left the mansion.
 

           Out side the mansion “where to next Kain” “to the future. To find and stop the Unspoken” “How Kain” “when his body is destroyed you will consume his soul, that will stop him from coming back if it can. Though we will also require you to unlock the pillars at the right time,” “unlock the pillars? How?” “Didn’t Janos tell you the pillars are the lock and the Reaver is the key?” “Yes but he didn’t go into detail,” “The original Circle of nine used the Reaver to lock their souls in to the Pillars. At the death of a member a new soul was chosen and locked to the Pillar.” “What are the Pillars for,” “To bind the Elder and stop him from regaining his power, and destroying the world.” But if the Pillars have no guardians won’t he be freed.” “Only if the Pillars are destroyed”. “Wouldn’t it be easier to kill the elder?” “you can not kill a god no matter how strong the Reaver is. All we can do is stop his return. Take me to the closest time streaming device.” Raziel led Kain to the Time Machine in the swamp. 

           “Are you sure you know what your Doing Kain”. “Yes Raziel it took me a few centuries but I know what I’m doing.” Kain altered the positions of the strange dials and levers once he was done the machine flared to life and Kain activated the Machine in a blinding flash they were gone. Hurtling through time.

           “I told you it would work,” “but Kain this is not the time of Janos” “I know Raziel the last Paradox changed my plans that’s why I was afraid, afraid my plans were ruined. We must go to the Pillars, take my hand Raziel” Raziel took Kains hand and of they went straight to the Pillars but they were not alone when they arrived Raziel and Kain were already there or more specific a past Kain and Raziel. Upon seeing himself and Kain arrive the past Raziel said, “what trickery is this Kain” “the future Raziel, the future. Now be silent and watch,” said the future Kain. “Who are you to tell me what to do!” “Listen to him he saved our life, now what is it you want me to do Kain,” “wait Raziel.” Moment’s later Ariel’s death wail was heard echoing of the land. “Now Raziel ram the soul Reaver into the Balance Pillar,” shouted both Kains Raziel did as he was instructed and the energy of the Pillar started swell and glow when it ended the Balance Pillar was slightly grayed and cracked. Second later Nupraptor's telepathic assault began and the Pillars slipped into their state of decay but one much worse than the Balance Pillar. Then came the time shift as history rewrote itself. “What happened Kain?" “It worked Raziel it worked. The Balance Pillar was unlocked and I was never tainted with Nupraptor’s madness. Now I can become the Balance Pillar” “but the Pillar is decayed Kain how can you be untainted” said the past Raziel. “The only reason this pillar is corroded is because it does not have a guardian. Now for the second part of this plan.” Kain spoke to his past self,” take this” he said handing the physical Soul Reaver to his past self, “You will need it”. Then Kain took out a Time Streaming Device “Now what Kain” “to the future Pillars Raziel.” Kain activated the Time Streaming Device and they faded away to the currents of time. “Perfect” said the past Kain “what” replied past Raziel. I found a way,” Kain answered.

           The Pillars of Nosgoth at the time when Kain’s fledgling self was battling with Hash’ak’gik. Seconds upon their arrival fledgling Kain struck down the Dark Entity, “Quickly Raziel Take Has’ak’giks soul now!” screamed Kain. Raziel quickly pulled down his cowl and inhaled he had to fight to take hash’s soul finally he did. Then it hit him a massive outburst of energy flowing threw Raziel. Just as the young Kain said “I am the last Pillar.  The only survivor of the Circle of Nine.  At my whim the world will be healed or damned.  At my whim.” “Kain why is your past self deciding this you are not a Guardian?” “Only we know that Raziel,” then Kain shouted to his past, “wait Kain wait!” “Who are you another demon come to test me” “No Kain I am you from the future.” “Prove it.” “My earring is Voradors signet ring,” “So it is, I know why I’m here why are you.” “To rewrite history.” “I refuse to sacrifice my self for these cattle.” “I don’t expect you too. I’m here to make you the new Balance Guardian.” “But I am the Balance Guardian,” “no you aren’t, I made sure of it you are free of Nupraptor’s taint. Put your hand on the Balance Pillar,” “what for?” “Trust me I would do nothing to harm my future, Raziel his hand pierce it with the Soul Reaver so the wraith blade goes into the Pillar.” “What no way I’m I letting him do that” said the fledgling indignantly” Kain held his past self’s hand to the Pillar. “Do it Raziel.” “With pleasure Kain” Raziel thrust the wraith blade through Kains hand and into the pillar another bright flash of light and the Pillar was restored to its pristine glory. “It worked by God it worked,” screamed Kain. Then it hit them a massive outburst of energy Time once again had to rearrange it self. Memories in Kain and Raziel stared to be born and die, just like when Kain saved Raziel only much more intense. When it subsided Raziel looked at his hands there was flesh his wings restored he was back to normal except the Reaver was still there Kain was unchanged. “The Pillars are restored Nosgoth will not decay our destiny’s are completed, congratulations are in order. Mobebius’s meddling is undone, we are free”

           Days latter after instructing the past Kain on what to do, they returned to the Time of Kains decaying empire and found it Beautiful and alive. “Turel, Turel!” Kain shouted a vampire appeared it was Turel, in human form not the twisted forms of his children, though as big as his children in stature. “Yes my lord”. “It seems all is well Raziel and I do not have to make a second trip to the past?” said Kain “That is correct my lord, it is good to see you again brother.” replied Turel. “And you Turel” said Raziel. “All my children are alive again I am the Balance Guardian and the Circle is composed of Vampires alone correct Turel.” “Yes my lord,” “Raziel your clan is restored and the humans are still under our rule, we still feed on there blood but they give it freely” Raziel interrupts, “I do not care about the humans anymore let them be hunted like the beast’s they are”. “ Well put Raziel,” Kain continues, “The Circle of Nine, are all vampires, my promise to you has been fulfilled yes?” “More than I could have imagined…  my Lord.” Said Raziel with a bow. On they’re way back to Razielim Clan Territory, “Kain?” “Yes Raziel?” “Why did I not fight Turel when I returned for my revenge.” “I needed someone to tell me if my plan worked.” “Is that the only reason”  “He was my second favorite next to you” “If I was your favorite ‘son’ why was I cast I, and so coldly by you” “Your wings Raziel, they were a mark of the ancient’s, I knew then your were our my savior Raziel, as for my coldness that was my trying to block out the pain of what I was doing. Under stand my Son. “Yes my lord” Raziel and Kain parted at the lake of the dead Kain continued south to the Sanctuary of the Clans and Raziel to the west. He then returned to his territory and found not the wasteland it once was, but his Clans territory filled with winged vampires his children and walking among them humans. The buildings once destroyed now stand tall as mountains. Like when Vorador held the Reaver a single tear slid down Raziel's face he was finally at peace. Though he still wondered about the Soul Reaver still on his arm occasionally.
