Revenge Borne of Hellfire

by "Moebius"

Chapter 1

In what could have been an instant or an eternity, Hash'ak'gik awoke.

Looking around, he saw the blue tint, and the way that everything was twisted in shapes that just weren't logical, like the pillar of Balance was shaped like a giant arch coming back into the ground. He was in the spectral realm.

Then something totally unexpected happened, the specter of Ariel returned.

"Have you come to taunt me once more demon?"she asked. The Ethros did not answer only stared. Finally Ariel said, "Look what you have caused bastard!", she pointed her finger at the center of the pillars and a transparent Kain appeared, along the Unspoken's body lying there.

Before Kain were two portals. One showed the land of Nosgoth damned, and the other one Nosgoth restored. Suddenly the spirit of Ariel started to flicker.

"What the hell are you doing spirit!?", Hash asked with a horrible edge, making it sound like an order. She stopped flickering and answered. "I am interacting between realms, you fool. Shouldn't you know that time is frozen here. That only an experienced wizard would be able manuever time so they could use the other realm.

    She suddenly disappeared.

Then Hash'ak'gik saw something unbelievable happen.

Even he, someone who did not care for anything of the mystical sort, but from his experiences, he knew that it was not possible for time to move while you were in this plane, that were placed in a separate time frame, away from everything else. But according to what the wizard said, they were in the normal frame of time.

It was all a little confusing, but he just forgot about it and started to watch the events unfolding in front of him.

He saw Ariel talking to Kain, though he could not hear anything.

Eventually, Kain entered the portal that showed Nosgoth damned, and all of the sudden, the Unspoken saw everything moving super-fast around him. He saw transparent people - slaves, he corrected himself - building a shrine around the pillars, which was followed with another vampire revealing his wings to Kain. The master ripped out the backbone structure out of the brethren's wings, and everything suddenly slowed down.

Hash'ak'gik was then left to plot to himself for what must have been at least 500 years. And then he finally came up with a plan.

At one point during his imprisonment, he found the soul of a vampire Melchiah, just wandering around in this god-forsaken chamber.

Finally, he remembered a glyphical control spell Mortanius had once used forom this realm. It required the uttermost patience, and it required you to be in a frozen time frame

Hash willed the frame he was in to become frozen, and he walked over to the stationary specter.

He slashed his chest, smearing his hands with his spirit, and rubbed it onto the other soul. Doing so would taint it, placing it under his control, so the Unspoken could astrally project his soul into the victim's material body.

He unfroze the time frame and then set off on his devious vengeance against Kain...

After a centuries of evil plotting and various incantations, Hash'ak'gik was finally able to project his mind into the body of the tainted Melchiah, and started to use the helpless soul for his own wicked purposes.

The first part of his scheme required him to visit the Chamber of Infinity - or Bunikryaan, by the forgotten Nikyron language of his people - and use the the powers that had been employed by the Oracle - Moebius - so long ago.

During his travels, the Dark Entity found that while much of his previous homeland had changed, the basic twisted sense of the land remained. For example, the Ethros proverb "Nikdu ei dirokan gjj owls vgu (the past will be restored in the future)" was true when he found the damnable blood fountains a mess, completely destroyed and full of Garygohkan demons in an al-Ashraad. He briefly wondered what had become of the Syreoli, the mortal enemies of any Ethros that was not anitribbu, a defector of sorts.

His question was answered when he came to the human concentration camp that had been built in the ruins of Vasserbunde, a once thriving village. He could smell the delicous scent of warlock blood all around him, when he finally remembered that Vasserbunde was a Syreoli city, meaning that these…were all wizards?

The sense of revenge came up inside of him and then the Beast took over from within.

Hash/Melchiah started in a frenzy, ripping everything apart. Dismembering slaves, hipping their hearts out, but he found no content when he saw all the bodies around him. And suddenly he knew why - he had not fed as this vampire yet.

Using a glyph called ur-Shulgi that this pitiful waste of flesh was blessed with, all of the blood from the surrounding human waste was telekinetically summoned into his mouth, but he was still not satisfied.

    Suddenly he could not move.

He awoke about an hour later, shackled to the wall, staked through the heart. Hash then remembered something very important about vampires. When impaled in any part of the torso, they die and lose their soul, but if they are stabbed in the heart, they are paralyzed, which is what had happened to him.

As he brought his head up from the uncomfortable slump he had been in, he saw Kain surrounded by two other Kindred in black robes. He recognized them as Nakuragami, a thought to be extinct race of very humanoid demons that thrived on the fear and pain of their victims. They were natural sadists and their bodies would bleed through all pores in their mental kukree - a part of their brain, which was in their chest - was not satisfied with the invigorating taste of fear in it's purest form.

Kain demanded, "I have given you everything you could ever want bastard, yet you defy me! What in the holy hell were you doing, you incompetent creature, you do not even deserve the name of vampire!"

The Unspoken replied in Melchiah's voice, "I will answer your question master. I was settling a millenium old fued with those warlock whelps." "What do you mean, you have never experienced the wrath of a syreoli, so do not talk about things you don't belong in!" Hash'ak'gik proceeded to say, "and," voice suddenly turning into a more ominous, demonic tone, "I'm not a vampire!"

Hash'ak'gik left the body of Melchiah and entered the form of the first Nakuragami, and destroyed the body from within.

He then started to use a ritual of possession that was forbidden to even his race of tyrannic creatures. His soul dove into the huge puddle of blood, and started speaking incantations as the vitae whipped around his soul in a vortex. Finally the blood solidified, and there was only the body of a hulking demon.
