Vorador's Newborn

One night as I was walking down a dark ally. A thug jumped out with a dagger a snarled, "give me all the gold you have." As I went for my sword I noticed he didn’t move. Blood shot from his throat like someone had spat on the ground. As I saw him fall, I saw a dark figure standing behind him. As I started to run to the end of the ally two Sarafan guards shouted, "You there, halt!" As I stopped they noticed the blood on my bare chest and ask me what happened I spat in his face and punched him in the nose. I was only sixteen at the time so he laughed and said, "Quiet an arm you have there, but do that again and it will be removed." I was praying that the man or beast I saw earlier would kill all three of us. But suddenly the huskier one fell to his knees, then his head rolled off. The more muscular one drew his sword and shouted, "Show yourself, bloodsucker." As he said that, his heart was ripped from his body and was crushed right before his very eyes. I laughed and knew I was next, but something happened. I felt something rip into my neck. I fell on all fours and blacked out.
I woke up in a strange place. A green vampire was standing over me. I had heard of such a being. His name was Vorador. He looked over me and said, "How do you feel child?"
I felt strange but said, "I have a headache. I feel thirsty. Did...did you..."
"Yes." he replied. "You are one of the few people I have felt worthy of the dark gift.
I had hoped for such, but I felt weak. The one known as Vorador had already had a victim waiting on me. As I saw her screaming I pounced on her and ripped her throat out. I felt the blood squirt into my mouth, as it did on my shirt.
"So a vampire killed those gaurds, Vorador…"
He snarled at me. "You will address me as sire!" And yes it was one of our finest he pointed to a woman wearing purple. She said my name is Umah.
I couldn’t remember much, just my name. It was Joseph Cruner. Vorador said with pride we need to get you out of those rags and into armor.
When I was all suited up my head was shaved. The face armor I was wearing was similar to the Sarafans’. But this armour was mostly black. Except the shoulder plates and boots. They were red. Vorador exclaimed with great pride, "You are one of my children now. We must begin your training."
I replied, "Yes sire." We went out into the night. We were on a rooftop. I scaled the wall. Vorador did a great leap. When I got to the top he was sitting on the chimney.
          "What took you so long?"
I replied, "How...how did you do that." He told me I had the same abilities as he, but in time my abilities would grow stronger and mine would be nothing like his. He explained the dark gift manifests differently in each of us, giving us all unique powers.
So I stood on the edge of the roof and leaped, I unknowingly had leaped over two hundred feet in the air. Vorador exclaimed, "Ha, you must have the dark gift, ‘Jump’. You are able to leap great distances in a single leap. But soon it will grow stronger with age."
He also explained the weaknesses of all vampires. He said, "Water burn us like acid. Too much of it can kill us. But you will become immune to it in time. Sunlight is also deadly to vampires but as you get older, wiser, and stronger you will be able to last long in it." Then he told me to watch out for glyph gates. "If you try to pass through one of these you will be burned as by fire."
Then we saw an old man walking the street below us. Vorador said, "There young one, your first victim. Kill him and feed on him." So I glided down silently and safely. I thought to myself, ‘How am I doing this.’ I look at the old man as he passed me. I concentrated on how much I wanted to please my master, my creator. Then I assumed mist form and floated like air. I got in front of the old man. It seems I am almost invisible to humans. So I shoved my clawed hand through his chest and ripped out his heart. I bit into his neck as though I hadn’t had blood in a decade.
When I was done feeding on his corps, Vorador clapped his hands and said, "So you also possess mist form."
I asked, "What is mist form?"
He said when you concentrate hard enough you can shift into a mist form, nearly invisible to humans. So after that, we fled back to Sanctuary, and he exclaimed with pride, "Welcome home. When Kain awakens from his slumber he will be pleased."
