She longed for a friend. A true friend, one
who wouldn't run when she told them her terrible secret. That terrible
secret was...
She was a Vampire. She didn't know if there were others like
her, and when someone said they were a vampire, they would only be joking.
She searched the plains of Nosgoth, trying to find some clue to her kind.
She had no memory of her past life, and for almost 13 years, she wandered,
and waited for some kind of sign or answer. People called her a witch
when they saw her bright yellow eyes, and they whispered and pointed when
she walked by them. Her name, was Aubrey.
While on the path to Coorhagen, Aubrey suddenly
smelled something that she never did before. It smelled like ancient
blood, but the blood wasn't decayed and out of sight to the humans.
Then she heard a screech owl and suddenly, a sharp pain on the back of
her head. She fell to her knees, and saw someone step in front of
her. She noticed his bright yellow eyes before he hit her with the
butt of his sword, and knocked her unconscious.
She awoke in a dank and musty cell. She grew
angry that a mortal had the strength to knock her out. She felt the
presence of people, but they felt strange, like they didn't die.
Finally, she decided to sleep on it before breaking out of their puny prison.
She awoke with a start from her slumber. She felt his presence long
before she saw him. A strong and noble man, probably the owner of
this place. She readied for an attack. Suddenly, three men
came. The two
men (Probably guards) came up to her and tried to hold her down.
She wouldn't stand for that and lunged at the bigger guard. He didn't
expect her to attack and was on the ground with the girl on top of him.
She slashed at his neck and killed him within minutes. She slowly
rose up and turned to face the other guard. He knew he couldn't back
down, and he knew he was going to die if he did choose to fight her.
She smelled and saw his fear and decided to kill
him anyway, just to scare the last man. With her Vampiric speed,
she dashed behind the guard and lifted him with one hand. With the
screaming man in her grasp, she locked her eyes on the last man, who was
standing there, and looking half-amused. She broke the guard's back
and threw his distorted
body at the confident man.
Suddenly, he was gone! Aubrey stared in confused
bewilderment, then she felt that the man was behind her! She ducked
just in time to see his weird hand come out to try and grab her neck. She
then retaliated by kicking the man in the gut. He immediately doubled
over and she scrambled away and grabbed a sword that one of the guards
used. She whirled round to the man on the floor. He stared
at her with a confident glint to his eye and rose to his feet.
"I wouldn't do that if I were you." He said.
"Why shouldn't I?" Aubrey replied sternly.
"Because, I can do this..." with a snap of his three
fingered hand, Aubrey was surrounded by guards with their swords pointed
towards her throat. The leader of the place walked forward, and the
group of guards let him through.
" Because I am a very powerful vampire..." He said.
He then brought his fists down on Aubrey's shoulders. Pain rocketed
through her body, yet she refused to fall. She swayed but managed
to stay standing. The man was amazed by her strength. He ordered
the guards away and looked into the girls bright yellow eyes.
"Who are you?" He whispered.
"I am the one that thought she was the last of her
kind. The one who couldn't find any trace of her kind, I am the one who
doesn't remember her past life. My name is Aubrey. Who are
you, who owns this place and decides to send your henchmen to kidnap me?"
"I am the lord of this castle and master to over
one hundred vampires. I am the one whom the cattle call "Master"
and the one who saw you walking through my territory. I am Raziel."
She glared at him when he turned his back on her
and left the cell. She finally grew to weak to stand and fell to
the ground.
Chapter 2

How can this be?? Raziel thought as he made his way
to Kain's throne room. This vampire doesn't belong to any of my brothers
and certainly not to me. Kain must know who...
Raziel started to walk faster as he neared the door
to the throne room.
Kain saw his son, Raziel come through the doors
with a troubled look on his face, and a mind full of questions.
" Raziel, you wish to see me about something important?"
Kain asked.
Raziel then proceeded to tell Kain everything about
Aubrey, and when he finished he asked, "What do I do about her?"
"Take me to this prisoner." Was Kain's reply.
Without questioning Kain's command, Raziel quickly
led his master to Aubrey's prison cell.
Aubrey again felt the prescence of Raziel, but this
time, someone was with him. Aubrey quickly stood up and readied for any
supernatural attack. The door unlocked, and this time their were four guards
in there with two, strange looking men. One she recognized was Raziel,
the other one, she knew not. The four guards quickly descended upon
her, and once again, she retaliated. Three of the guards went down easily
with one hit, the last one snuck up behind her, and impaled her on his
sword.
Her screech was heard all throughout the Razielim
clan, and everyone began to fear for their master and father.
Aubrey lay dying with the fourth guard. Then without
saying a word, Kain stepped behind her and pulled out the sword.
Raziel was confused, he thought his Master had wanted to see her die, but
instead, he was helping her live.
The pain suddenly stopped, and the sword was no
longer seen in her stomach. She looked backwards and saw the strange
looking man holding the sword that had impaled her. She had a questioning
look on her face, when Kain spoke.
"I thought I had lost you forever. My dear daughter,
Aubrey..." Kain then left without saying a word. Aubrey looked at Raziel.
He seemed as confused about this as she did, probably even more.
Raziel helped Aubrey up and left the room with a concerned expression on
his face...
Chapter 3

"Hey!! What do I have to do to get some food around
here?" Aubrey whaled at the top of her lungs. "Hello?!?! Can I get a little
cup of blood in here?"
She was still in her prison cell, waiting for that
wierd guy to come back. If he really was her father, maybe she could escape.
Either way, if no one brought her any blood, she would die.
Kain stayed locked in his private chambers for a
long time. He didn't move an inch for two days straight. He just stared
off into space, thinking about Aubrey. Finally, Kain did emerge from his
thoughts and went to Aubrey's unknown chambers. Her brothers had
no knowledge of their sister, and Kain made sure of it. He did love
his daughter very
much, but he was afraid that if she interacted with her brothers, she
would be as arrogant as they are. He went to Raziel one day and ordered
Aubrey's release.
"But Master, who is this girl? Is she my sister?"
Raziel asked.
"Do not question my judgment Raziel! Now do as I
say NOW!!" Kain raged.
Raziel grew afraid when his Master screamed like
that at him. He led Kain to Aubrey's prison cell again, only to find
her suffering from a blood fever. Aubrey was curled up in a ball
in the corner of the cell, when Raziel landed right next to her and slid
down the wall. Raziel cowered away from his master as Kain came closer.
But instead of
going to go hit Raziel again, he went and picked up Aubrey, and left
the cell, locking the door behind him.
Chapter 4

Aubrey awoke to find herself in a room that wasn't
her prison cell. This room was actually a very nice room. She sat
up in the bed and the strange green guy was there in the blink of an eye.
"Are you alright, Aubrey?" Kain said.
"I will be as soon as I know who you are and where
I am..." She looked around the room again.
"Forgive me. My name is Kain, and you are
in the territory of the Clans. When you were suffering from that
blood fever, I took you into your room, this one," He swooped his hand
around the room, "This is your home."
Aubrey got up and looked around her room, with Kain
watching her intently. She moved around slowly, then remebered.
"Hey, where's Raziel?" She asked.
"He's in your cell..." Kain replied without a tone
of worry.
"Could we go and release him?" Aubrey inquired.
"If you wish..."
Kain led Aubrey to Raziel's clan territory.
All of the Razielim welcomed Kain with offers of a goblet of blood, all
of which were turned down. They next went to Raziel's private chambers
to make sure that Raziel hadn't broken out of his cell. They finally
made their way to the prisoner's cells. They came to the last one,
and ordered that the
guard open that door. The guard immediatley found the key and opened
the door.
Raziel, like Aubrey, was curled up in the corner
of the cell. Kain beckoned Aubrey to go in, and she hesitantly went
in. She slowly made her way to Raziel. She didn't know
how he would react to her. She gingerly touched his back, and suddenly,
Raziel looked behind him. He sat up and Aubrey noticed he had a bloody
lip. She took out a handkerchief and wiped off the blood. She looked
at her "Brother" and looked at his clawed hand.
"Come out Raziel. You are now forgiven by
Kain." She turned to leave, when she was caught by Raziel.
She turned around and saw Raziel was staring at her with a questioning
look.
"Who are you?" He asked.
She sat down with a smile took Raziel's hand.
"I am your sister..."
Raziel looked at Kain, then back to Aubrey.
"Yes Raziel, she is your sister." Kain said.
Chapter 5

Kain finally decided that the other brothers would
meet their sister. He called the brothers to his throne and in less
than an hour, they were all there.
"Master," Turel asked, "You called us for something?"
"Yes. I did Turel. The reason I called you is simple..."
Kain said. " Your sister is eager to meet you all..."
At this, the door to the throne room was opened
and Aubrey stepped in, with an elegant dress on. The brothers stared
in awe, they did not know this vampiress, and they felt she had been around
for more than a century. They passed on whispers to each other about
the beauty of their "Sister."
Aubrey stopped in the middle of the brothers, and
they stared even more. The beauty of this vampiress struck them.
She looked at them all, and continued to the side of Kain.
"Your names, brothers?" Aubrey asked.
"Turel..."
"Dumah.."
"Rahab.."
"Zephon..."
"Melchiah..."
" My heart is glad that I have finally met my brothers."
She replied.
At that moment, a servant burst in the room.
"Forgive me masters!" The servant breathlessly said,
"But the Serafan are now at our gates massacring vampires in mass quantity!"
The servant bowed and was gone.
Kain stood up. The brothers knew what they
had to do. They left the room to go prepare for a battle. Kain
then took Aubrey by the hand.
"Aubrey, you must go and hide..."
"But Father, I know how to fight!" She wailed.
"Yes my dear, but I shall not lose you again...
Now do as I say and hide!" Kain said softly yet with forcefulness.
Aubrey knew not to disobey her Father, and did as she was told.
Aubrey walked slowly down the hall to her room.
Why do I have to sit around while my brothers have all the fun? She thought,
I love fighting, and Kain won't let me. Well, I hope Father has a
good heart. At that thought, she went and threw off her dress. She
quickly got into good battle clothes. Good, hard battle boots, blood
red fighting gloves, and
a hard suit of leather armour. She got her best weapon, a bow.
Then she went to where she sensed all the vampires.
Chapter 6

Aubrey knew she had to get to a height where she
could see the whole battlefield. She found a stairwell that spiraled
up and went to a balcony that was abandoned. The balcony overlooked
all of the battlefield.
Aubrey was a good shot, and had good eyesight, so
she was confident that she wouldn't shoot her brothers or father.
She crouched down and readied her bow. She slowly strung her arrow,
and aimed at a man who was a clear shot. Her bow gave a twang as
she released the arrow. The arrow whistled as it sailed and buried
itself into the man's chest. She once again readied her bow for another
shot, when she got shot in the shoulder by a bolt of the enemy. Though
the pain caused her to wince, but she was used to wounds like this.
She quickly ripped out the bolt and strung her bow once again, looking
for the Seraphan that shot her.
He was easy to spot, for he was aiming his crossbow at her again, but
he never got the chance to shoot again.
She shot quite a few Seraphan and her kills began
to grow. Even Kain noticed that some of the dead men were pierced
by an arrow, but he had not sent any archers, and he knew all to well that
the Seraphan knew how to distinguish their ranks from the enemy.
He quickly looked for any sign of a mysterious archer, but could find nothing,
he didn't even see any stray arrows from this crusader.
Aubrey noticed that Kain was looking for something,
but she didn't know just yet. While distracted by Kain's search,
she wasn't paying attention to the Seraphan archer training his bow to
her heart...
The bolt struck with such a force that it knocked
Aubrey off balance. The man had just missed her heart my mere inches, but
caused her great pain, because this bolt was a holy bolt. Her vision
was getting blurry, as she got up and staggered over the edge of the wall...
Kain saw a streak of color fall to the ground with
a sickening crunch. He only counted the casualties after the battle
was won and over. He continued to hack his way through the army of
Seraphan.
Chapter 7

The Vampires won the battle, and now it was time
to count the casualties. He slowly made his way through the courtyard
of severed limbs and maroon grass. It took him quite a while to make
his way through, the Seraphan had brought so many soldiers, and the casualties
on both sides were heavy. He finally finished made his way towards
the
building in which the vampires guarded so preciously.
Kain found a body, that had a bolt through their
chest, and had leather armour, with red battle gloves , and heavy boots.
He turned the body over.... and stared into the face of Aubrey. Kain
couldn't believe it. His only daughter was now dead, and now he had finally
lost her forever.
But wait, wouldn't she come back if the bolt was
removed? Yes, she would come back! Kain slowly
drew out the bolt, waiting for Aubrey's soul to come back to her body.
Nothing happened. Kain sighed. She was dead. He picked up her body
and went toward the cathedral where they burned the bodies of the dead.
Suddenly, the wind picked up and blew Kain's hair.
He looked up, and saw a sight that no mortal or immortal man ever saw.
What he saw was a pure white orb come and hover over the body of Aubrey
in his arms. He didn't know what it meant, so he laid down his daughter's
body.
"Aubrey." Came a wispy voice. "You cannot die yet.
Your destiny has not been fulfilled."
At this, the white orb shot a beam at Aubrey, and
suddenly, she flickered her eyes open.
"Father? Owww, what happened?" She asked.
Kain was so happy he could not say, he just quickly
hugged his daughter, more overwhelmed with emotion that he had ever been
in his vampiric life. He had never lost anything so precious to him for
it to be brought back to him.
Chapter 8

Finally Kain could tell Aubrey what happened.
"What did the orb mean by my destiny?" She questioned.
"I know not. All I know, is that I'm thankful that
it showed up..."
"Then, I will find what this orb means by my destiny..."
There was no doubting it... Aubrey had made up her mind and not even the
strongest Serafan was going to stop her.
Kain agreed, and Aubrey packed up to leave. But before she left, she
had to see her brothers.
She first went to Raziel's territory.
She remembered where his chambers were from the
last time she was there. She quietly knocked on the door.
"Raziel?" She called.
The door opened and inside stood Raziel, in all
of his magnificent glory. He looked at Aubrey, and beckoned her come
in.
"What's wrong Aubrey?" He asked.
"Nothing, I just came to say goodbye..."
"What?! You can't go!"
"But I am, and I must. I need to find my TRUE destiny!"
"Then... You shall be greatly missed in the Razielim
clan." He hugged his sister before letting her go...
Aubrey then went to Turel's clan, where many welcomed
her. She repeated this with all of her brothers, until she finished and
felt it now was time to go.
Kain gave her his best steed, a black stallion with
a white mane and tail. She mounted this horse, which she called Rithol.
Kain watched her go, then beckoned to Raziel.
"Follow your sister, and make sure she is unharmed."
He ordered.
"Yes, Master..." Then Raziel was gone with his best
horse after his sister. He knew he could not fail Kain, and pressed
his horse to go as fast as it could.
Aubrey was soon to find out that her destiny was
to take her in places that no sane vampire would go.
The End.
