Many years ago, in a long forgotten dimension, exists a world known as Nosgoth. Kain: The Scion of Balance defeated his adversaries with his most coveted weapon, the Soul Reaver. But there was more to his sword than meets the eye. The Soul Reaver had the ability to not only annihilate its victims, but devour their souls as well. When peace returned to Nosgoth, a new threat had arrived. This new threat however, is from a dimension that they had never seen. Among his appearance, so it was with his magic. This new threat, known as Cole is a demon that used the laws of the dimension from where he was banished, to justify his demonic will. This new threat has left Kain in a terrible dilemma…will he jeopardize Nosgoth’s peace and extinguish Cole from the land, or seek help from the dimension from where Cole was banished and leave Nosgoth under his tyranny until a solution can be found?
            Kain chooses to leave Nosgoth in order to save it. He uses a portal to enter the dimension from where this “Cole” emerged.
            “What is this place? No magic or vampires exist!”...or least Kain thought. This world did have magic however, a strangely peculiar one, with horseless chariots, and buildings as tall as the Pillars of Nosgoth. Kain approaches a young woman and asks her, “You there, what world am I in?”
            She responds, “Whoa, who and/or what the hell are you supposed to be?!” She didn’t appear to be frightened like most humans…as if she had already dealt with vampires?
            “I am Kain… tell me where I am, and I will spare your life!” Becoming impatient, he pulls out The Soul Reaver to make his point clearer.
            The young woman throws out her hands to explode Kain, coming to realize that it barely fazed him. She threw out her hands again, this time freezing Kain in his tracks. Piper then unfreezes his head so he can speak freely.
            Kain demands, “Who are you? And what demonic sorcery is this?!”
            “Okay ‘Kain’. First off, my name is Piper, and I’m going to be the one asking the questions here. So unless you wanna be a pile of dust, then I suggest that you answer my questions...got it? Good! Second, I’m a witch, not a demon! So again, I ask you…Who are you and what do want?”
            Kain continues, “A demon from your world has found a way into my world. He goes by the name of Cole...do you know of him?”
            Piper answers, “My sisters vanquished him already. What’s it to you?”
            “Well, it seems that you didn’t quite 'vanquish' him. He somehow arrived in my home world destroying everything I have worked so hard to rebuild.”
            Piper’s responds with, “And why should I trust you?”
            “You must trust me Piper. I know of you. Your family's magic is legendary. If I’m not mistaken, you are a Charmed One. In Nosgoth Piper, vampires are peacekeepers and protectors of good. And the Hylden demons are our adversaries. We had just defeated them and they were banished to the demon realm, your underworld wastelands.  Since the Hylden have been defeated, we have had a brief period of peace, until Cole entered my world. He has taken over my world, and eventually he will gather enough power to return to this world. Something I’m sure you do not want to happen.”
            Piper said, “Ok, wait a second. Leo? LEO!!!”
            Kain asks “Who is this Leo...another witch?”
            “No, Leo is my husband, and my whitelighter. He can help us.”
            Leo appears before them. “Piper, what’s going on? And who is he?”
            Piper says, “Yeah, don’t ask I already tried. Ask a question, he’ll give you a sermon.”
            Kain turns to Leo and says, “I am Kain of Nosgoth.”
            Leo says surprisingly, “Kain of Nosgoth? I’ve heard of you and the legend of the Soul Reaver. But I thought that the legend of Nosgoth was only a mythological…”
            Kain responds, “Times fade, even legend whitelighter...Nosgoth does exist, but forgotten long ago by all…by the way, what is `whitelighter’?”
            Leo answers, “Whitelighters are guardian angels for witches. Since the legends are apparently true, why are you here in our world?”
            As Kain explains the situation to Leo orbs Piper and Kain to the Haliwell Manor for safety. Piper calls her sisters Phoebe, and Paige to come downstairs into the conservatory. “Guys, I think we have a problem on our hands.”
            Paige asks, “What is this time? A demon, warlock, or wearing white shoes after Labor Day?”
            Piper responds, “It’s a demon problem…We have to help a vampire from another dimension…not the Buffy type. I think this problem has to do with Cole again.”
            Paige utters, “Vampires?! Why are we helping vampires? And why the dining room with Leo?”
            All three sisters jumped from the conservatory to dining room fearing for the worst. Paige orbs the Soul Reaver away from Kain. Leo yells, “What the hell are you doing?”
            Kain adds in, “Yes, What are you doing? If you’re afraid of me looking to feed, you needn’t worry. Older vampires don’t have to feed as often as fledglings.”
            Leo tells everyone to calm down, and tells everyone to sit around the table. “We have a big problem on our hands. When you killed Cole, is soul didn’t stay in the Underworld like we thought. He somehow escaped in the world of Nosgoth, which is kind of like vampire like Camelot, but with good vampires. Kain here is Nosgoth’s Scion of Balance. The reason why Kain is in our dimension is that Cole overran Kain and his army.”
            Paige asks, “What exactly is a `Scion of balance’?” Piper whispers to herself uh oh another lecture.
            Kain answers, “The `Scion of Balance’ is the one who returns the Pillars of Nosgoth to their rightful guardians: vampires. Originally, vampires were to serve the Pillars. But, for thousands of years, the Pillars were under human guardianship. Our adversaries, the Hylden escaped their imprisonment, and possessed human guardians to turn against the vampires, and eventually enslaved the humans to take the Pillars as their own. A few years ago the Hylden were defeated and eventually banished back into the demon realm. When this portal to this realm opened, another demon emerged into Nosgoth. He goes by the name of Cole.” He points to Paige, “If I remember correctly, he was your husband.”
            Paige blurts, “Uh, wrong sister. Cole was Phoebe’s husband.”
            Kain continues unfettered, “But in any event, he’s destroying the world I fought to save. We must find a way to get rid of him!”
            Phoebe responds, “Just how many times do we have to kill him?! We killed 3 times already. I’m sorry guys, but I don’t think I can handle this anymore!” Phoebe walks out of the room, and heads toward the kitchen.
            “Phoebe!” Piper says as she and Paige follow her.
            Phoebe sets a tea kettle onto the stove. “Guys, this is too much right now. I mean, what can we do? I can’t even remember how many times we had to get tissue samples to make vanquishing potions!”
Paige consoles, “Phoebe, it sucks with all of this going on. But we are going to vanquish him for good! The only question now is: HOW?”
            Phoebe and Paige turn to Piper. She shrugs in confusion, “Hey, just because I’m the oldest sister doesn’t mean I’m a walking encyclopedia. But let’s ask `Mr. Scary Vampire’ man in the other room.”
            The sisters walked back to the dining room with Leo and Kain sitting at the table discussing how they can destroy Cole. Phoebe ask Leo, “So what’s the game plan gonna be?”
            Leo answers, “According to Kain, Cole not only regained his powers, but also gained abilities of other demons. An ability he gained was moving between the physical and spectral worlds. That’ll make things a little bit more difficult for you.”
            Paige asks, “So how can we kill him?”
            As Leo is about to answer Paige’s question, Kain jumps in to answer, “I’ll answer this whitelighter.” Kain uses his telekinetic power to retrieve the Soul Reaver into his possession. “The sword you moved away from me is the Soul Reaver…a legendary weapon with the power to absorb its victim’s soul. In order for Cole to remain dead, you must find the means to trap his soul within the Soul Reaver.”
            Paige asks, “Okay, what kind of spell are we looking for here?”
            Piper answers, “It’s gonna have to be a Power of three spell.”
            Leo adds in, “You’ll have to bless the Soul Reaver with a Power of three spell, and drop some blood on the sword to combine your powers with it.”
            Piper shouts, “No! No! No! No! No! No! Blood, bad! You forget that there’s a vampire in the house!”
            Leo joshes, “Honey, if you want, I can heal your little wound after.”
            “Don’t you `honey’ me!” Piper said, as she smacks him upside the head. “Kain, so this is what we’re gonna do. We’re gonna write the spell.”
