"These runes are thus far unique to the better chapters of LoK. They have adorned everything from Nupraptor's Retreat in BO to the Chronoplast Chamber of SR2, the attire of the Circle Guardians to the ruins of the "Ancients", and Kain's mana bar to his telekinesis meter. All these things are in some way linked to the properties of the Pillars and their Guardians, without any particular rune seeming to signify any particular Pillar. I don't like the Circle of Nine, or the "Ancients" who guarded the Pillars before them. But I now bear the same runes that they do, because like the Guardians, all my convictions and philosophies are built around a single attribute. Had the Circle not been created broken, and doomed to corruption, there would have been a Pillar of Life to balance the Pillar of Death.
