Glyphs | Essential Items | Fire Reaver
Nosgoth holds many secrets, and among them are the Glyphs. These stone disks contain powerful energies which can be released in the form of elemental spells. Each Glyph is guarded by an enigmatic test of wit and ability within a hidden, ancient shrine.

|
Force Glyph |
|
| This is used most effectively for defense, though it can be lethal
if used correctly. When cast, waves of telekinetic force are sent
outward in all directions. Any creatures hit by these waves will
be thrown backwards. If they are slammed into a wall they will be
stunned momentarily, but they can also be flung into hazards that
would kill them. Seek this glyph on the Spectral Pane, at the bottom of a small, round pool outside the door that leads to Melchiah's chamber once you have acquired the ability to phase through gates.
Only 1 Eldritch point is needed for this low-level spell.

Force Glyph |
|
This Glyph rattles the ground, impeding enemy attacks, while sending out waves of energy that petrify anything in their path. Petrified enemies can be destroyed with a single swing of the Soul Reaver. Nothing less will destroy them until they recover. To reach this glyph, you must ascend the ruins of Nupraptor's Keep in what has become Melchiahim territory, and leap across the chasm from the base that once supported the Retreat’s signature skull, to the left-hand cliff ledge. The ability to scale walls will be required to do this.
Uses 2 Eldritch points.

Sound Glyph |
|
| This Glyph turns vampires’ heightened sense of hearing
against them by emitting a blast of sound at a certain frequency that leaves them momentarily stunned. Humans are unaffected. Seek it out in the bowels of the Silenced Cathedral once you have acquired the telekinetic relic.
Expends 4 points.

Water Glyph |
|
| Water burns the flesh of most Nosgothian vampires as though it were acid. Only Rahabim are immune. To all other vampires, this Glyph inflicts enough injury to render them helpless. To find it,
follow the network of water pipes from the bottom of the rectangular pool in the main hall of the Human Citadel. You will require Rahab's gift of immunity to water to do this.
Costs 6 points of Eldritch energy.

Fire Glyph |
|
| This is one of the most powerful Glyphs, for it is instantly fatal to both humans
and vampires, immolating them with the rings of fire it radiates.
A relatively small area of effect is its only limitation. Its altar can be reached by swimming straight ahead, through the submerged chamber in Razielim territory.
8 points required for this Glyph.

Sunlight Glyph |
|
| Sunlight has the longest range of all the Glyphs, and is the most devastating to vampires. It allows Raziel to
amass solar energy, and then discharge it in all directions. Vampires
of all clans - elders and fledglings alike - are burned to death by these intensified rays. It has no effect on humans. Acquiring this glyph will require reactivation of the complex machinery that powers a lighthouse, accessible only via a tunnel beneath the moat that surrounds the Silenced Cathedral.
An expensive Glyph costing 10 Eldritch points.

Fire Reaver |
|
In the same submerged chamber of former Razielim territory that leads to the Fire Glyph, is a side underwater passage that leads to a chamber within the Drowned Abbey. At the end if this passage and down a spiraling stairwell is a shrine, meant to imbue the Reaver with the elemental power of fire. This enchantment will be dispelled upon entering water or the Spectral Plane, however the Reaver may henceforth be re-ignited at any flame. Immunity to water and telekinesis will both be required to reach the shrine. The latter, of which, will transform the Fire Reaver into an inexhaustibly lethal weapon even at long range.
