Thus far, Defiance is the only game in the LoK series to feature this runic script.  Known as Lovecraft’s Diary, it is a freeware font that originated from Blambot Comic Fonts.  It appeared at both the Sarafan Stronghold and Avernus Cathedral, where it actually did contain brief, intelligible messages that could be translated to either English or French, although these messages appeared to communicate no unique information, in and of themselves.  Further detail on the translation of Lovecraft’s Diary in Defiance can be found at the Dark Chronicle LoK fan site.  There is no distinction in this font between upper and lowercase letters.  All non-letter characters appear as “”.
